How We Can Help

Too many incarcerated individuals don't realize that they have an illegal sentence or conviction that can be lawfully challenged under Florida's complex laws.

Directly hiring an attorney to investigate whether or not meritable grounds exist to challenge the case can be extremely expensive. When you retain an attorney for case review/discovery services, the firm typically utilizes a staff of paralegals who do the bulk of the work - yet you are paying an attorney's premium for these services.

Prisoner Connections, LLC is a team of experienced paralegals who specialize in post-conviction and appellate issues - in fact, they are the only cases we work on. We help Florida prisoners with comprehensive case review services to determine if grounds exist to challenge a conviction and/or sentence before retaining a lawyer. All of our case reviews are conducted under the direct supervision of our partnering Florida Bar licensed attorneys - but at a fraction of the cost.

Pro Bono Assistance

We regret to say at this time that we are not in a position to offer pro bono paralegal assistance. Usually, organizations that do so are working under the funding of a grant, or are public agencies funded by the government. I do not know of any law firm that offers pro bono legal services to those convicted of a crime. The fee for conducting the case review, meeting with the attorney and providing you and the inmate with a written report on our findings is typically $3,000 - $5,000 depending on the size and complexity of the trial record. You can make payments on the fee, but we must receive half of the total fee before work begins, and the balance must be paid in full before we complete the case review. Typically, a case review will take from 8-12 weeks to complete. Additionally, the attorney will take case review fee you paid into consideration when setting his fee for representing you in your post conviction proceeding. Usually, we save clients thousands of dollars in attorney fees due to the work we accomplish through the case review process. If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact us. It is our pleasure to serve you and we look forward to a positive result.
